When you visit a shop
or look at a clothing catalogue it is not always easy
to be sure exactly which size and fit will be right
for you, especially if you are a bigger size.
To get the perfect fit it is not always a question of
what chest or waist size you are, but also what shape
you are and how you like your clothes to fit.
We hope that this brief explanation should help you
make some sense of all the sizes available. However
there is no substitute for calling into a shop (ours
we hope) where you will get expert advice, and be able
to try the actual garments on.
SUITS JACKETS AND COATS
These are graded in chest size and then in height.
For instance if you measure 50" chest you could
choose from short, regular, long and extra-long depending
on your height.
Then you will need to choose the best shape for you
within your chest and height. For example if you are
50 chest and a bit shorter than average, and of a fairly
average shape you would need size 50 short, but if you
have a bit of a tummy you may need 50 short portly.
